1. General
Battery Charging Animation ("the app") is developed by Quang Chien ("we", "us", "our"), an independent developer based in Vietnam. This Privacy Policy is written to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR 2016/679) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
If you choose to use our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. Any information collected is used strictly for providing and improving the Service, such as showing charging animations, serving advertisements, and diagnosing crashes. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
The app has no user accounts and no login. We never ask you for your name, email address, phone number, or postal address, and there is no sign-in with Google or any other provider. If you have any questions, contact us at quangchiennnn@gmail.com.
2. Data Collection and Usage
The app shows charging animations, lets you customize charging sounds and videos, displays battery details, sends charging-related notifications, shows ads, and manages optional purchases. The sections below describe exactly what stays on your device and what is transmitted, and they match the Data safety declaration on our Google Play listing.
2.1 Stays On Your Device
The following is stored only on your device. It is not uploaded to us or to anyone else, and it is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its storage.
- App preferences such as selected animations, playback settings, alarm settings, language, theme, and favorite items.
- Battery and device state used to show charging percentage, battery health, voltage, temperature, and charging service status.
- Media you choose or record, such as a custom video or a custom sound. These files are read only to play back the feature you selected, and are never transmitted off your device.
2.2 Sent Off Your Device
The following is transmitted by the third-party services integrated into the app:
- Device or other identifiers, including your advertising ID (GAID) and the pseudonymous installation identifiers used by our analytics and crash reporting providers.
- Purchase history, meaning which optional purchase or subscription is active, so premium features can be unlocked.
- App interactions, such as which screens are opened and which features are used.
- Crash logs and diagnostics, which may include your device model, operating system version, the configuration of the app at the time of an error, the time and date of use, IP address, and similar statistics.
2.3 What We Do Not Collect
- No location data. The app does not request or use any location permission, does not collect GPS, network triangulation, or Wi-Fi based location, and does not share location with advertising partners.
- No accessibility or automation data. The app does not use the Android AccessibilityService API and does not read, log, or record any text, passwords, or interactions in other apps.
- No personal identifiers. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, address, contacts, calendar, messages, or browsing history.
- No photos, videos, or audio are uploaded. Media you select or record is used on-device only.
2.4 Third-Party Service Providers
The app uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify your device. These services help us serve advertisements, process purchases, and analyze app performance. Review their policies for details:
3. Application Permissions
To enable its features, the app declares the following permissions. We use them only to serve the app's functions and to comply with Google Play policies.
- INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — Load charging animations and remote content, serve advertisements, send crash reports, and verify purchases.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS — Show charging reminders, full battery alerts, and the status of the charging animation service.
- SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW — Display the charging animation over the lock screen and other apps when power is connected.
- FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE — Keep the charging animation service running while your device is charging, with a visible notification.
- WAKE_LOCK — Keep the screen awake for the duration of the charging animation and the full battery alarm.
- RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — Restore your charging animation settings after the device restarts, so the feature keeps working.
- REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS — Optional. Prevents Android from stopping the charging animation service in the background.
- RECORD_AUDIO — Optional. Used only if you choose to record your own charging sound. Recordings never leave your device.
- com.android.vending.BILLING — Process optional purchases and subscriptions through Google Play.
- com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID — Access the advertising ID so that ads can be served and measured. You can reset or delete this ID in your Android settings.
4. How Information Is Used
- App functionality. Provide charging animations and app settings, keep the charging overlay and alarm behavior reliable, and unlock features tied to an optional purchase.
- Analytics. Understand which features are used, monitor crashes and performance, and fix problems in the app.
- Advertising and marketing. Display ads, measure how they perform, and limit how often the same ad is repeated.
- Fraud prevention, security, and compliance. Validate purchases, protect the app from abuse and invalid ad traffic, and meet legal obligations.
We will never sell your information, and we will never use it to market unrelated products to you. We may disclose information to comply with legal requirements, such as a court order or government request. If the app is acquired or merged with another company, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Data Sharing and Advertising
5.1 Data Minimization
To the extent feasible, we use data only in an anonymized, hashed, or pseudonymous form. Because the app has no accounts, the identifiers involved are device-scoped rather than tied to a named person.
5.2 Third-Party Disclosure
We may disclose data:
- As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process.
- When we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, to investigate fraud, or to respond to a government request.
- With trusted service providers who work on our behalf, have no independent use of the data, and are bound to the rules set out in this policy.
- With advertising and analytics providers, as described below.
5.3 Advertising Partners
We work with third-party advertising companies, primarily Google AdMob, to keep Battery Charging Animation free of charge. Your advertising ID (GAID) is shared with advertising partners so ads can be selected, delivered, and measured. Where required by law, this happens only after you respond to the consent prompt shown in the app. We do not pass any directly identifying personal data, such as a name or email address, to ad networks, and we do not share location data with them.
5.4 Analytics Providers
We use Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the app is used, including which features are opened and how often sessions occur, and to diagnose crashes. We use this information only to improve the app.
5.5 Paid Versions
Where an optional purchase removes advertising, the app stops serving third-party ads. Basic diagnostic and analytics data may still be collected to keep the app working, but it is not used to serve interest-based advertisements.
6. Managing Your Data
6.1 Uninstallation
You can stop all collection by the app by uninstalling it, using the standard uninstall process on your device or via the Google Play Store. This also permanently removes everything the app stored locally.
6.2 Advertising Identifier (GAID)
Android provides a Google Advertising ID that lets you control how data is used for interest-based advertising. In your device settings, usually under Settings, Google, Ads, you can reset your advertising ID to generate a new one, or enable Delete advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalization to stop advertising partners from serving targeted ads based on your cross-app activity.
6.3 Consent
Where required, the app shows a consent prompt for personalized advertising the first time you open it. You can change your choice at any time from the app's settings, and you can turn off notifications or revoke the display-over-other-apps and microphone permissions from your Android system settings.
7. Data Security, Storage, and Retention
The privacy of your data matters to us. All data transmitted by the app is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and we rely on widely accepted protocols to safeguard it in transit and at rest. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The app has no user accounts, so there is no account to close and no profile held about you. Data is removed automatically as described below, without needing to send us a request.
- App preferences, custom sounds, custom videos, favorites, and alarm settings are stored only on your device and are removed as soon as you uninstall the app or clear its storage.
- Analytics identifiers, app interaction events, crash logs, and diagnostics are deleted automatically within 90 days of being collected.
- Advertising identifiers used to serve ads are deleted automatically within 90 days. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your Android settings, which disconnects earlier ad data from your device.
- Purchase and subscription records are linked to an anonymous identifier rather than to your name or email address, and are held by Google Play and our billing provider for the period their own policies and applicable tax and accounting law require.
8. Your Rights
We offer the following rights to safeguard the data of our users:
- Right of access. You may request details about any personal data processed in connection with the app.
- Right to rectification. You may ask us to correct data that is incorrect, inaccurate, or incomplete.
- Right to withdraw consent. You may withdraw consent at any time, including consent for personalized ads. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
- Right to erasure. You may request deletion of your data where the processing purpose has been achieved, the data was processed unlawfully, you have withdrawn consent and no other legal basis applies, you have successfully objected to processing, or deletion is required by law.
To ask about or exercise any of these rights, contact us at quangchiennnn@gmail.com.
9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. This Service does not use cookies explicitly within its own code. However, the app integrates third-party libraries, such as AdMob and Google Analytics for Firebase, that may use cookies or similar tracking technologies to collect information, serve personalized advertisements, and improve their services. You can manage these through your Google Ads settings and your device advertising controls.
10. Links to Other Sites
This Service may contain links to other sites, such as ad providers or support pages. These external sites are not operated by us, and we strongly advise you to review their privacy policies. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
11. Children's Privacy
This Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it from our systems immediately. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take the necessary action.
12. GDPR Privacy
12.1 Legal Basis for Processing
Under the GDPR, we may process personal data on the following legal bases:
- Consent. You have given explicit consent for one or more specific purposes, such as personalized advertising.
- Performance of a contract. Processing is necessary to deliver a purchase or subscription you have made.
- Legal obligations. Processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation to which we are subject.
- Legitimate interests. Processing is necessary for our legitimate interests, such as app analytics, crash diagnostics, and security, balanced against your rights.
12.2 Your Rights Under the GDPR
If you are within the EEA, you have the right to request access to your data, request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, object to processing based on legitimate interests, request erasure, request data portability in a structured machine-readable format, and withdraw your consent at any time.
12.3 Exercising Your Rights
Contact us at quangchiennnn@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to your local Data Protection Authority about our collection and use of your personal data.
13. CCPA Privacy (California Residents)
13.1 Your Rights Under the CCPA
- Right to notice. To be told which categories of personal data are collected and the purposes for which they are used.
- Right to know and access. To request information about the categories of data collected, their sources, the business purpose, and the specific data collected in the past 12 months.
- Right to say no to the sale of personal data. To ask us not to sell your personal information to third parties.
- Right to delete. To request deletion of personal data collected in the past 12 months.
- Right to non-discrimination. We will not deny service or change prices because you exercised a privacy right.
13.2 Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense. However, sharing an advertising ID with advertising partners may be treated as a "sale" under California law. You can opt out by enabling Opt out of Ads Personalization or Delete advertising ID in your Android settings, or by declining personalized ads in the consent prompt shown by the app.
13.3 Exercising Your Rights
To exercise any CCPA right, contact us at quangchiennnn@gmail.com. We will respond free of charge within 45 days of receiving a verifiable request.
14. Updates to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or app features. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we may provide a more prominent notice. Changes become effective as soon as they are posted here.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of Battery Charging Animation after any modification constitutes your acknowledgment of the change. If you do not agree with a change, you should stop using the app and uninstall it from your device.
